So how does the user experience change when using workspace?
Workspace User Experience
First and for all it allows us to search across all objects from one screen. We can also access our saved searches across objects from the workspace.
Every search will show the total number of matching records, allow us to format the search results and save the search as a saved search.
Furthermore we can take action upon the found search results without having to drill into the record details. This is similar to how Actionable Infolets work.
Another big difference is that the search will search across all columns …
… and supports fuzzy search as can be seen in the screenshot below.
Search results can also be categorized and segmented using configurable filters. This allows us to narrow down the results and get faster to the information we are looking for.
Last but not least, admins will find it easier to administer and share saved searches with user groups.
