Some enhancements to Account management have been added in the latest release of Sales Cloud. Nothing dramatically changed, but some very interesting capabilities were added.
We now can flag favorites and search for them, we can assign multiple organization types and industries to an account and we can execute assessments against contacts and households, but there is more:
Contact Cards
From now on, we can also upload images for each contact in Sales Cloud. Those are shown on the contact cards for each contact. If those are not available, the image will be replaced with a representation that consists of the first letter of the first name, and the first letter the last name. Looking nice huh?
We can also customize these contact cards. We can choose the fields we want to put on them, and if we choose too many, we can scroll through multiple card views for the same contact represented by the dots at the bottom of each card.
Account Influence Map
For each account the account contacts can be linked into an influence map. Important attributes defining the importance of each contact within the account like job title, buying role, influence level, and affinity are shown here.
This influence map is off course accounts specific and can be put together by dragging and drop contact cards on top of each other.
Summary Boxes
There is now a standard summary box to indicate how many Enterprise Contracts are active for each account as can be seen on the screenshot below.
On top of that, and probably even more interesting, we now can create custom summary boxes on custom objects in Sales Cloud. If you have made a custom object to synchronize and display invoices to be paid from your ERP application, you can now make a custom summary box on this custom object and display the invoices to be paid on the account overview page for each account.
